Use cases

Where handoffs carry weight.

Workflows to explore with design partners. Each names the decision-maker, evidence requirements and qualification caveats; these examples are not customer deployments.

Primary case: AI and technical delivery acceptance

The same delivery, handed over two ways.

Handoff today
  • A summary of what the agents did
  • Screenshots and a link to a pull request
  • Logs held by the delivering team
  • The client reconstructs the rest by hand
Evidence handoff
  • Who directed the agents, and on what
  • The scope and when it expired
  • Actions linked to that grant
  • Evidence references, plus open issues listed
How the client delivery owner might decide
  1. Inspect. Is the record intact, and do the references resolve? This is a technical check.
  2. Read the open issues. One evidence reference for a test run is missing.
  3. Decide. Accept, hold and request the missing reference, or challenge the claim. That choice belongs to the client delivery owner.

Design-partner workflows

Each card keeps the summary, evidence handoff and caveat in view, and names who decides. Open "Show what remains unresolved" or "Illustrative workflow" for example scenarios, not customer results. No workflow is executed by this website.

01

Technical and AI delivery acceptance

A team delivers work produced with agents. The client needs to see what was authorized and done before accepting it.

Decision-maker
Client delivery owner
Acceptance question
Was this delivered within what we authorized, and can we check it?

Evidence handoff: FactReceipt with linked authority and evidence references.

Caveat: Depends on what the delivering tools can record.

  1. Delivery lead grants agents
  2. Agents work within scope
  3. Receipt with evidence
  4. DecidesClient delivery owner
GuardianChain architecture shown for explanatory purposes. Three U.S. provisional patent applications have been filed covering the underlying technology.
Show what remains unresolved

Example unresolved issue.

The receipt lists a passing test run, but the evidence reference for that run is missing. The owner can hold and request it before accepting.

Illustrative workflow

Example workflow for partner discussion, not a customer deployment. No workflow is executed by this website.

  1. The delivery lead records who may direct the agents and on which repositories or documents.
  2. Agent work is linked back to that grant as it happens.
  3. At handoff, the client receives a receipt naming the authority, scope and evidence references.
  4. The client checks the record, then decides separately whether to accept the work.

02

Cross-tool continuity

Work moves between assistants, editors and services. Authority and context should travel with it, not silently renew.

Decision-maker
Receiving team lead
Acceptance question
Was every hop still inside a live grant?

Evidence handoff: Session records from GuardianBridge, linked in GC-1.

Caveat: Needs integration with the tools involved; coverage will vary.

  1. Approver opens session
  2. Work moves across tools
  3. Session record of each hop
  4. DecidesReceiving team lead
GuardianChain architecture shown for explanatory purposes. Three U.S. provisional patent applications have been filed covering the underlying technology.
Show what remains unresolved

Example unresolved issue.

The scope expired before the last tool hop, and no new grant is recorded for it. The lead can challenge that step.

Illustrative workflow

Example workflow for partner discussion, not a customer deployment. No workflow is executed by this website.

  1. An approver opens a governed session with a stated scope.
  2. Work moves to a second tool; the session record moves with it rather than restarting.
  3. Scope changes require a new, explicit grant.
  4. The session is closed, and its record shows each hop.

03

Refund exception reconciliation

An exception is approved outside policy. Later, someone must show who had authority and what evidence was used.

Decision-maker
Finance or customer operations approver
Acceptance question
Was this exception approved by someone allowed to approve it?

Evidence handoff: A grant, its scope, and the decision it covered.

Caveat: Qualification needed per process and data sensitivity.

  1. Named approver grants exception
  2. Decision references grant
  3. Evidence by reference
  4. DecidesFinance or customer operations approver

Show what remains unresolved

Example unresolved issue.

The automated refund references an exception, but the exception approval itself is missing from the record.

Illustrative workflow

Example workflow for partner discussion, not a customer deployment. No workflow is executed by this website.

  1. A named approver grants a one-off exception with limits.
  2. The automated decision references that grant.
  3. Supporting evidence is attached by reference, not copied.
  4. At review, the reviewer can trace decision to grant to approver.

04

Freight evidence reconciliation

Parties disagree about a shipment. Preserved evidence supports reconciliation across organizations.

Decision-maker
Consignee or claims reviewer
Acceptance question
Do both parties' records support the same account of the shipment?

Evidence handoff: Portable evidence each party can inspect separately.

Caveat: Evidence quality depends on upstream sources.

  1. Each system records events
  2. Linked to its authority
  3. Portable evidence per party
  4. DecidesConsignee or claims reviewer
GuardianChain architecture shown for explanatory purposes. Three U.S. provisional patent applications have been filed covering the underlying technology.
Show what remains unresolved

Example unresolved issue.

One party's sensor observation records the container sealed at arrival; the other records it opened. The contradiction stays open for the reviewer.

Illustrative workflow

Example workflow for partner discussion, not a customer deployment. No workflow is executed by this website.

  1. Each party's automated system records the events it acted on.
  2. Records are linked to the authority each system operated under.
  3. In a dispute, each party inspects the same portable evidence independently.
  4. Reconciliation stays a human decision between the parties.

05

Regulated research handoffs

Research materials pass between groups. Provenance and authority should travel with them.

Decision-maker
Receiving research lead
Acceptance question
Can we confirm what we received matches what was authorized for transfer?

Evidence handoff: Provenance records attached to the handoff.

Caveat: Does not establish regulatory compliance; requires review in each setting.

  1. Sender authorizes transfer
  2. Provenance travels with materials
  3. Receiver checks record
  4. DecidesReceiving research lead
GuardianChain architecture shown for explanatory purposes. Three U.S. provisional patent applications have been filed covering the underlying technology.
Show what remains unresolved

Example unresolved issue.

A readback from the target system confirming the transfer is unavailable, so receipt cannot yet be matched to the authorization.

Illustrative workflow

Example workflow for partner discussion, not a customer deployment. No workflow is executed by this website.

  1. The sending group records who authorized the transfer and its permitted use.
  2. Provenance references travel with the materials.
  3. The receiving group checks the record before use.
  4. Any compliance judgement remains with the responsible reviewers.

Bring one handoff

Bring one consequential handoff your recipient currently takes on trust.

Pick one piece of AI or machine-assisted work where acceptance today rests on summaries, screenshots, scattered logs or manual reconstruction. We will map it end to end and tell you honestly where this does and does not fit.
